Myo-Reps

A rest-pause method optimized for hypertrophy using short rest periods.

Updated

Myo-reps is a rest-pause technique designed for efficient muscle growth. You perform an activation set of 12-20 reps to near failure, then take 3-5 deep breaths (about 15 seconds) and perform 3-5 additional reps. Repeat until you cannot hit the target rep range. This method maximizes effective reps close to failure while minimizing total time.

Examples

  • Activation set: 15 reps, then 5+4+4+3 with short rest
  • Stop when you can only get 3 reps
  • Great for accessory exercises
